Searching, Hunting, Digging....

Searching, hunting, digging... It's an epic battle and adventure trying to find items for our shelves.

There is nothing more enjoyable than digging through boxes, more boxes and more boxes filled with so many treasures.

Going through the boxes we found everything from small glass creatures, vintage jewelry, handmade quilted quarters to the long forgotten notes hidden on the old books and the perfectly preserved lace handkerchiefs

But my personal favorite finds are the gorgeous pieces of costume jewelry. My mind wanders to the woman that wore it, how she felt when she placed a huge jewel encrusted peacock brooch on her lapel or the rhinestone elephant earrings in her ears. Where was she going? Did she go to the grocery store or out with the ladies always looking like a movie star? Looking at the items I imagine a woman that was larger than life.

My imagination just explodes with everything I find. I am pretty sure I have the greatest "job" on the face of the planet. I cannot wait to dive into some more boxes!!
